Stitch Artist: Getting Started** Thurs 09/03 1:00-3:00pm

This is a hands-on class working with Embrilliance Essentials and Stitch Artist 1 software. Stitch Artist is a program to create machine embroidery designs from scratch and is a great starting point for design creators, or anyone wanting to add stitches to a project. Typical projects include: Redwork, quilting, stippling, applique, freestanding lace fills, basic cross-stitch, outlining, satin borders, filled shapes and adding stitches to designs. Draw your own, use the built-in shapes, or bring in a picture (such as .jpg), then ‘draw with stitches’ over the artwork, using it as a guide. You control the shapes, sizes, set the stitching properties, and Stitch Artist generates the actual stitches. Those familiar with any modern drawing tools will feel very comfortable with Stitch Artist, but the easy ‘draw with points’ tool makes creating shapes easy to learn.
